beIN Sports’ Ray Hudson Is Brought to Tears After First Camp Nou Visit
beIN Sports commentator Ray Hudson has built a reputation among American audiences for his outlandish, colourful commentary, especially around Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Englishman, who made the term “magisterial” famous surrounding Lionel Messi and is popular enough that a soundboard was created of Hudson-isms, typically calls matches from beIN Sports’ American home base in Miami.
Hudson will be at the Camp Nou this weekend to take in El Clasico and, oddly, it’s Hudson’s first-ever trip to the famous Barcelona ground.
The scene proved too much for Hudson, who said there is “nowhere like it on God’s earth.”
Hudson was surprised when he heard his own voice calling a Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal in a tribute film inside the stadium, but when he heard it again at the video’s crescendo, this time describing Messi‘s brilliance, it brought him to tears.
A truly touching moment.
